My name is Rozzie and I am so excited to share my story with you. One year ago I was diagnosed with a very rare disease. Only 90 thousand people in the US are living with this condition and there is very little information on how to manage Autoimmune Liver Disease. After 5 weeks in the hospital I began realizing that my life was seriously in danger and I would have to try to learn everything I could about this condition to avoid the liver transplant list.
No one tells you what or how to eat when you have this kind of condition. That's mostly in part because most people don't know how to heal themselves with food. And gaining access to the people that do know takes a lot of time and energy.
I began juicing fruits and vegetables because every time I ate food, I would get sick and have to lay in bed. My twins are 4 years old and they require a lot so I knew I would have to find something to keep me moving. I drank vegetable broth and juiced fruits and vegetables for weeks until I could figure out how to introduce foods. Aside from the healing powers of natural juices, I look much better and I lost almost all of the weight I gained in the hospital.
In addition to learning how my body functions with a compromised immune system and stage 4 liver disease, I've learned how to eat without salt or extracted sugar. Eating without salt is no fun!
But I've learned to value and appreciate so many things in life and it's time for me to share my experience with you!
